Prospective Ph.D. Students

Join the Clinical Health And Social Experiences (CHASE) Lab as a Ph.D. student

Rowan University’s Ph.D. program in clinical psychology offers a specific focus on health psychology and behavioral medicine, with training experiences to prepare students for work in integrated care environments (research, teaching, and clinical intervention). Dr. Arigo mentors students who are interested in studying one or more of the following:

Social influences on health and health behaviors
Digital health tools (smartphone apps, wearables, social media)
Women’s health (during college, pregnancy, midlife, and older adulthood)
Interventions to promote physical activity, healthy eating, or chronic illness self-management

Students admitted to work with Dr. Arigo and the CHASE lab will have opportunities to engage in ongoing projects focused on (1) understanding psychological and social influences on physical activity, and (2) designing digital tools to improve health behaviors. Applications to the Ph.D. program are due January 1, 2021. Interested applicants should contact Dr. Arigo at before submitting, to discuss these and other opportunities.
